Gonna push back on this because no, that’s not really what he said. Here’s his actual words (shortened slightly for length)

He’s saying both that they are currently a “dead-end society” and phrases it in a way that blames a lot of the systematic issues in native communities on the communities themselves, and also that 130 years ago (you know. Like at the time of the WOUNDED KNEE MASSACRE) they should’ve just fought harder against the Americans. This also feels really condescending towards them. You think they saw thousands of other tribes and communities slaughtered, pushed towards conversion or into reservations, stripped of their languages, cultures, lands and lives and they didn’t know how bad it was going to get? Nobody can ever predict future struggles that’s ridiculous to expect from any group.
He does actually say “fuck them I’m built different” because he has his own made up peoples endure and survive (thanks to the white guy they bring in too btw which is. Another thing all together) so it’s not just “for clicks” dude.
